Art Connor Biography

Straight talk with some of the coolest names in rock.
Art Connor wrote music and entertainment articles for the Philadelphia’s The Drummer newspaper during the late seventies. Among his major works are his interviews with the great jazz-rock guitarist Tommy Bolin (Zephyr, The James Gang and Deep Purple) and the late Steve Marriott of the Small Faces and Humble Pie fame, as well as feature articles on Led Zeppelin, Paul McCartney, Peter Frampton, Yes and many other bands and artists that came through the Philadelphia area during that time.

His more recent works include interviews with Grammy Award winning record producers and songwriters David Foster and Narada Michael Walden (Whitney Houston, The Temptations and Celine Dion) and award winning Jazz/Fusion keyboardist extraordinaire, film and TV music scorer Jan Hammer (The Mahavishnu Orchestra, The Jeff Beck Group, Tommy Bolin and Billy Cobham) as well as singer/songwriter Norman Greenbaum of “Spirit in the Sky” fame.

He still resides in Havertown, PA along with his two children (now grown) Brittany and Stephen. When not chasing after his two adorable grandchildren, Art still keeps his hand in the music business by running his own Mobile Disc Jockey company, The Music Specialists Disc Jockeys.
